Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Scantonomous platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Scantonomous (“Company,” “we,” “us”) reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Account Terms
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to scan repositories or systems you do not have authorization to test
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, design, text, and graphics, is owned by Scantonomous and protected by intellectual property laws. Your code and data remain yours—we claim no ownership over content you submit to the Service for scanning. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
5. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scantonomous shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
